Crowdfunder has teamed up with Creative Scotland to launch the Creative Scotland Crowdmatch, a fundraising competition to provide an extra boost for creative projects in Scotland.
Creative individuals, groups or businesses are encouraged to let us know their creative ideas in order to take part in a competition to win a share of £150,000 in match funding (up to £10,000 per project) towards their crowdfunding campaign. Projects can range from theatre to music, film, digital and more.
Creative Scotland will match pledges from the crowd up to £10,000. This means that if a project successfully raises £25,000 from the crowd, Creative Scotland will contribute £10,000 towards the total.

The Creative Scotland Crowdmatch is a vibrant and engaging way for individuals, groups or businesses to raise funds to allow their creative ideas to thrive during these difficult times.”

But how to go about launching and sustaining successful campaigns? Our collaboration with Crowdfunder is designed to give creative businesses a boost through match funding along with the best intel, expert coaching and all the tools in order to stand out in a busy marketplace, and to keep that momentum going.
Last year, the competition supported 18 creative projects, ranging from clothing and jewellery brands, to cinematography and community workshops. One such project was SambaYaBamba Youth Street Band based in Glasgow. They raised £48,712 during their crowdfunding campaign so that they could continue to provide free, high quality, fun and inclusive music opportunities for young people.
